Soo does that mean I'll have an easier or harder time searching for a home right now? Trying to get something by October. Still confused by that tweet.

Homes were flying off the market last summer and I’ve noticed so far this spring they’re gone even faster. Something is up. I’ve come to grips I’ll never move…

harder, you're more likely to be competing with banks/investment firms/international companies buying properties to rent them out and can pay cash and 100k+ over asking, waiving inspections, sight unseen.

What is the policy solution to that? Can the govt like ban investment firms and what not from purchasing a certain amount of homes? Would it be constitutional?

But yeah doesn’t sound like 2008 to me. Unless they buy all these homes, get fucked when they can’t resell them, and have somehow insured their purchases through an insurer that couldn’t possibly pay all those claims out. That’s basically what happened with AIG and mortgage backed securities in 2008 iirc

Such a dumb thing to focus on specifically not only because it will be a waste of money if the other 100 more important things aren’t done but now Fox News is going to have a field day with fake climate friendly military vs china military equipment stories

Im looking to downgrade to something smaller so I think it’s possible but not easy with low inventory and rising interest rates

  18. Yeah, we're thinking of moving or looking, but interest rates went up, costs on shit is out of control, but I think we could sell this place for a pretty penny.

Looking to buy because the owners are selling the house we’re currently in. Not looking forward to the process.

    Nope. Supporter

Yeah I've had the thought to sell our house and make a fortune but then it would basically all have to go into another house in this crazy market so there wouldn't really be any benefit

Car prices are dumb too, my car is worth the exact same now as it was 3.5 years ago when I first got it lol I'm trying to cash in on that but inventory is a disaster still

Homes in my neighborhood have been selling really well for the past two years but the most recent just sold for $220,000 more than what I paid for mine in 2014…so I got that going for me.

But I’d also be homeless if I sold.

Our realtor just sent us two homes tonight - both just listed today. And she basically said if we don’t go see it tonight and make an offer by tomorrow, it’s not gonna happen.

I’m not the kind of guy to jump into a commitment like that.
