Yeah, same. I don't get the appeal. Gambling frameworks are only viable when they're predatory

    Lot like stocks

I'm not going to claim there isn't a lot of predatory behavior when it comes to stocks, but gambling by its nature is zero-sum. Stocks aren't (or don't have to be).

Gambling is fun and good* but not so much sports gambling. I've done some sports gambling here and there and it's booty. Fantasy sports is a much more fun way to gamble on sports IMO. I will try to do prop bets for the Super Bowl though. Also a few years back my bachelor party happened to fall the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby and I knew we were gonna be smashed at a bar watching it so I put in some bets on that despite knowing absolutely nothing other than how to look at odds, and I ended up winning like $120 or something like that, so that was cool.

Gambling at a casino, more specifically poker and craps, is fun AF and I will hear no arguments. Roulette can be fun if you just wanna throw $10 on colors or numbers and watch the little ball spin around. Blackjack can get fucked though.**

*It's not actually "good" so don't listen to that. But it IS a lot of fun!

**I did lose $300 playing poker one night in my early 20s, took like $50 over to a blackjack table, get back up to $300, then took that back over to poker and ended up cashing out at $1000 one night in AC. So blackjack did help me make a $700 profit that night. But otherwise, fuck blackjack.

  10. Those who find gambling "fun" are always interesting to me because y'all have the exact opposite personality than me. Nothing about potentially losing money gives me any sort of joy or "fun" feelings. I'd rather try to run across a street covered in marbles than gamble money.

I look at as "Spending money but with a chance to actually get more money back then I spent." If I'm gonna spend $100 on an "experience", I'd rather do it with a chance to get that money back rather than spend that little extra on the fancy restaurant or expensive food dish or drink or etc. Gimmie the poker table or the craps dice and free alcohol/beverages!

Blackjack is great if you like losing TONS of money VERY fast.

I could sit a Hold Em table for hours though.

Yyyyyep. Fucking hate blackjack so much.

Longest i've grinded at a $1-$2 hold em table was probably 14-15 hours, with a dinner break in between. my high school poker friends and I would make trips down to AC in the year or two after we turned 21, and we were all too cheap to also pay for a hotel room we'd all have to split, so we'd drive down to AC at like 2-3 in the afternoon and end up sitting at a cash game table until like 5-6 AM the next morning lol. Sometimes we'd play in a tourney too and then just move back over to the cash games when we got eliminated.

I like sports gambling because I can do stupid parlays for like $2 each and I like playing around with the odds and picking bets. My usual move at casinos is to figure out how little I can bet while still getting free drinks. I don't like card games

back before bodog got banned, I did used to like fucking around with insane parlays on there for a $1. Like insane insane 10+ Bets where im betting a dollar to win like $2000 lol

only one I ever hit was like a 7 or 8 game parlay, might have even been a teaser?, and only for $80 bucks. Still cool though

Considering I live within a half hour drive to two major casinos, I’m glad I don’t have a real gambling itch or else I’d be there multiple times a week

When the casino in Cleveland opened up 20 minutes away from me in 2012, I was so excited and thought I would go down there all the time. I've literally only gambled there like, 3x.

I've been there many other times though just to have drinks or meet up with friends, but I rarely ever gamble there.

My sister used to live in Vegas, so I would visit her once or twice a year. I've been to the Vegas casinos far more than I've been to Cleveland. Prior to the Cleveland casino opening, I often drove to the Casino in Erie, PA.

I used to love gambling but I’m also a raging addict so it’s not that surprising. Never became a problem for me but I do find it enjoyable. Hold em, omaha, blackjack, slots, sports betting I’ve dabbled in it all

Yeah I set aside like $50 maximum to just play slots at the casino, and I make it all back in the free drinks and try to score a free buffet as well lol

I only gamble if I'm in Vegas or if it's a March Madness pool or something small like that (I've resisted the urge to join an online sports book thus far). It's fun as long as you go into it with the mind set of not getting that money back. If you expect to win, you're going to have a bad time. I'll set a limit for myself and then walkaway if I'm out. I just kind of approach it like buying tickets to an event or theme park or something like that, more of an experience than a money making scheme.
