Forbes lists Musk’s wealth at $273bn and Twitter’s market cap is $35.5bn, so technically he could buy it a little under eight times over.

 

Not to mention, he uses leverage. He can probably get a loan backed by $2b of stock for $10b. Made up numbers, but he definitely has the wealth to buy it outright.

 

Why the fuck does Elon need to buy Twitter?

 

So he can ban the kid that tracked his plane and then at the same time claim it's a place of unfettered free speech.
