Went to the grocery store yesterday and it was maybe 70/30 masks/no masks, which is still the lowest it's been for my neighborhood. The animal shelter I work at is mostly unmasked at this point, which isn't surprising considering it's outside NYC. It's weird because as less people wear masks, I've been upping my mask wearing to pretty much only wearing KN95s. By this point in other waves, I'd be back in the surgical masks, but Omicron is so contagious and my immune system is so unprepared (having never had covid before) that I feel like I need to especially when other people around me aren't masked

Unfortunately this story is behind a paywall but I was able to read it and it is really interesting. They are going to be testing the air and soil at the high school for radon. Some people think it could be traced to a nearby Superfund site, where there was a sampling plant used to stockpile weapons-grade uranium, wondering if fill from the site could have been used to construct the high school. Wonder if they will end up finding anything, clearly something is (or was) going on at this school.

It’s a non-event. He’s just tripping over the word foothills and the clip is wildly misleading when cut short. The rest of the clip is fine (if trite).
