Hot take: most men grow a beard/goatee to hide their double chin. I’ve accepted that I have spotty facial hair and don’t bother with growing it out, even to hide my chin.

As the war drags on (it's going to last for several months more at least), I feel we'll see more and more dominos starts to fall (more and more people leave). The Russian economy is seriously fucked for at least the next decade, if not more, so surely many in power realize the writing is on the wall for any resemblance of a functioning economy, so will want to get out while they still can.

I have a (short) beard almost always, but I don't let it grow too far down my neck or else it makes me look like I have a double chin or at least a fat neck.

I think it's strange that you are pretending that this isn't a nuanced issue, one complicated by the fact that transgender folks are under attack across this country but not synonymous with it.

I also find the venom and lack of empathy thrown at Lia Thomas so revealing. So many folks don't make room for her in this often-abstract (and often underinformed) conversation about "fairness". She's treated as a political cudgel before she's treated as a person.
