I agree with this sentiment.

I've been on a message board before where someone I came to know decently well over the board passed away, and even though we had never met in person, it was hard knowing I'd never see them make a witty criticism ever again.

I'm sorry for everyone's loss.

Really sad to hear about @TJ Wells. Always appreciated TJ's input and posts on here. I'll especially miss TJ's input in the Blank Check thread over in the Entertainment Forum.

 

Fuck. What a gut punch. I’d never interacted with TJ off of AP/chorus but I never had a bad run in with him. God damn this is sad.

 

When I was in high school (Freshman year), I was required to take swim class (we had a swimming pool in our school) at 8AM every day, and the pool was literally about -20 degrees. It was so fucking cold. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't 8 in the fucking morning...and more like 10AM or something.

 

We had something similar at my school. All the dudes refused to get nude in front of each other and just went back to class with wet swim trunks under their pants all day.

 

Yeah the whole getting dressed in front of other guys was...a thing, but everyone in my class just dealt with the awkwardness of it haha.

 

School start times are a joke currently. Pretty sure my first period class in high school started at like 7:30 or 7:45.

IIRC there's also research that says younger students should start earlier than older students, which is the opposite of how it is now for a lot of people. For me, elementary school started later than middle school and high school.

 

God damn, 34 is way too young to die. Catastrophic news.

Jesus, I’m so sorry to hear about both losses. TJ was always very kind and that’s something to be thankful for here on the ol’ internet, if not anywhere. Absolutely heartbreaking and my heart goes out to both families and their loved ones. I’ve gotten so used to the usernames around here and back in the day on ap that the idea of never seeing them again because of an untimely death is so very strange. Hold tight to the ones you care about.

Yeah, here the start times for schools are staggered because of shared bussing. My kids are in elementary school and they start at 9:15, middle school starts at 8:15, and high school starts at 7:25.

 

Right and really high school and elementary school should be flipped there
