Could help the popular vote at least.

 

If you’re a Dem in Alabama and Moore wins, I think next year when he’s not on the ballot it goes back to normal, and in 2020 when Moore is up again everyone will have “moved on” from his disgusting behavior and it won’t be nearly as close. This was the one chance to steal this seat.

 

Wtf needle.

 

The downside to this is the turnout is roughly 50% of what 2016 was....I guess the upside is the Dem turnout was only down 33% while GOP turnout was down 66%.

 

That’s good special election #s tbh

 

Bigger fear - They lose tonight and see this as a reason to pander more to Republican voters in 2020.

 

I think he’s a war criminal pos.

 

That fear makes no sense nationally, but you need Republican voters to win in Alabama. Either to vote for you or not vote.

 

I don’t think that’s really a fear considering no Democrat not running against a recently-accused child molester would have even a ghost of a chance in Alabama, no matter what their policy positions are. They can pander to whoever they want, it won’t help them win.
