Seems like its quite possible for someone to get confused and go "Oh I'll fill in here because I'm republican" and then go vote for Jones, and apparently that counts as a vote for Moore instead????

yeah. people are definitely going to get confused. and there is no reason why "Straight party republican but vote for jones" should count as a vote for Moore unless your election commission is run by a bunch of evil immoral fucks trying to suppress the will of the people

update: I *think* Alyssa might be wrong and this rule: Alabama Code Title 17. Elections § 17-6-36 | FindLaw is saying that individual votes override straight party ticket votes (as they should). But I'm not a lawyer, and I don't trust Alabama enough to actually enforce things that way
