I'm referring to an agenda to run on, not an legislative agenda.

  2. And the aggregate was .... right within the margins. Was going to be a close race, looks like Handel will win +4 at the end. That is in no way a condemnation of polling. (SC was polled way less.)

  3. Seems reasonable.

Idk why dems seem to think pouring money into an election is a better route than actually talking to constituents. There's so much momentum on the left and they have squandered it in every election since November. I get that nothing really matters until 2018 but basically everyone left of center feels dems are out of touch and they've done nothing to change that perception but the media still hypes up these special elections as if maybe just maybe democratic backers will take that money and pay staffers to make a localized, meaningful political campaign instead of using creepy, threatening emails.

I really don't know too much about this stuff, I probably sound ignorant but it's just frustrating as a young brown person to watch the old white people with some power to challenge republicans totally misunderstanding the voters they need to win and failing to engage with them. As if I didn't already feel gross about every time I voted democrat.

  7. Yep. These special elections are "fun" when the polls are so bad for Trump and the like that they are sort of in play, but by and large they're the wrong places to pick up seats and the wrong voters to actually go after. The demo is never going to be what the playform, nationally, should be.

  8. I'm petty as fuck but I like how many more likes Obama gets on basic tweets than Trump does.

  11. She should. Even if it's just for the symbolism. It's time. It's needed.

Right? She should have stepped down a long time ago, honestly. She's a great legislator, and was a good leader for navigating Obama's agenda through congress when they had the House. She's not a leader for these times.

  13. I am 88% confident they're gonna pass it. This strategy is gonna work.

I think they'll probably go the Putin/Erdogan route and still call the office "president" to keep up the appearance of it being legitimate. Seems more likely, but who knows.

Also, Ivanka is obviously higher in the line of succession than Don Jr. He'll never sit the throne.

  21. Gerrymandering is going to remain a problem for a long fucking time.
