    Interesting.

"In the infancy of the Trump presidency, a new community defense network is espousing anti-racist and anti-capitalist politics to build coalitions in cities, small towns, and rural areas across America.

Redneck Revolt recruits predominantly poor and working class white people away from reactionary politics. The organization advances an analysis of their class condition and white supremacy’s role in upholding the wealth and privilege of a small, white elite.

Redneck Revolt inserts themselves into overwhelmingly white spaces—NASCAR races, gun shows, flea markets in rural communities, and country music concerts—to offer a meaningful alternative to the white supremacist groups who often also recruit in those spaces."

If I could just forget it

At least he'll never make a Dirty Grandpa now. Something to be said for that.

He'd still at least be nominated at the Oscars if he had made a Dirty Grandpa, though.

made the mistake of reading those comments on that dash cam footage. Can't believe these people.
at what point when an officer opens fire on someone can someone defend themselves from the cops?
I guess in our society cops are infallible.

I feel sick. Hes says "help him" as if he didn't just shoot him 7 times in the chest. I also didn't know there was another cop with that piece of shit. He has hand on the gun the entire time.

"Never-Trump conservatives aren't dismayed by Trump's stance on healthcare, nor are they bothered the threat he poses to the climate, the economy, or women's rights. So before you kneel at the altar of the Upstanding Principled Republican, ask yourself: What about Trump don't you like? An effective resistance movement should have a broader focus than the president's potentially illegal and treasonous behavior—it has to protest the policies and ideology he furthers....Not everyone who shares a dislike for Trump is your friend. McMullin is certainly preferable to pro-Trump conservatives, but if you're looking for allies in a fight against this administration, maybe you should find people who share similar goals, not conservatives mourning an administration that has showed conservatism for what it really is."

The second clock counts down toward environmental catastrophe. So long as capitalism remains the dominant economic system of the first world, it is inevitable. This is partly a structural matter — an economy predicated on endless growth cannot stop growing; the politics produced by such an economy can barely stick to half-measures they’re so scared of hampering GDP growth — but they are mundane, too. Climate change, even the kind where men boil in their own bodies, does not destroy the whole world. Not every patch of land goes underwater, even in the worst case. The world of 2050 may not be able to support seven billion human lives, but there will always be enough food and medicine and air conditioning for the narrow set who can afford it.....What can we do? I don’t know. Organize the workers. Demand justice. Win the future. I haven’t given up but I have no idea where we can even begin in time. We live in a world in which we watch angry college students shout fuck you and fuck off at their professors and see tough guy alt-righters get triggered by Shakespeare after browsing fan fiction that the former secretary of labor wrote about himself. Perhaps the most fitting end is that metabolic Easy-Bake Oven. We don’t even have to get up and our insides will burn themselves out soon. “Innocence is like a dumb leper who has lost his bell, wandering the world, meaning no harm,” wrote Graham Greene half a century ago. We got here by a thousand years of malicious innocence. The klaxons of catastrophe are going off all around us, and nothing within our power appears capable of making them silent again."

The end will be delivered by Amazon drone
