Why do people think that people will automatically vote for non racists when they are racist? David, that comes from a materialist analysis of race and class. The idea isn't necessarily to woo Trump voters, it's to have an economic platform that benefits all working people not necessarily as a tactic but on principle. Then you raise class consciousness and eventually establish proletarian rule, obviously.

Bet you would've said this shit about UKIP voters too. Except, a good portion of them flipped to Labour. The goal isn't to get every single Trump voter on our side. Because, yes, some are intransigent and will never be persuaded or attracted to any other platform. But there's people voting for Trump and the right because what he said was new. They think they get another shot of redeeming themselves in this shitty fucking country where they've been left behind. And that includes white people, latinxs, black people, etc.

People talk too much about the voters and not enough about just having the right policies regardless of the voters. Get caught trying I say. If you lose doing the right thing, oh well. Fighting for such a small section of the electorate never ends well. imo.

No it's not.

 

Trump voters that swung the election, or Obama to Trump voters, are an extremely small part of the electorate. And minuscule compared to other demos that are more open to leftist policy. There are far better strategies to winning an election than the obsession over the small percent that impacted the last election.
