The thing that irks me is even the "good cops" blindly stand by their workmates. These are supposedly good people and, just to preface this as an Irish man I'm horrified by the actions of the American cops but I can't truly talk about how they impact me, the Irish cops are currently standing trial as witnesses in a suit that is basically the vice president of Ireland vs the people. We protested and some are getting tried for protested and so called good cops are testifying as witnesses for the ex government official against the people. This highlights exactly what's wrong with cops all over the world for me.

They don't work for the people. They don't protect us as citizens. They're a homogeneous group of power hungry individuals who will tarnish the reputation of us as citizens for for their own gain. That's not even going into the brutality and racism that is faced in America, which is horrifying as an outsider.

There's a reason. I don't want to ever visit America again.

 

Which is why people on the left need to give them something they few like they are doing for them. In my opinion.

 

I love that he can't help himself to bring this stuff up and dig deeper holes for himself.

As an aside from my post from this trial against protesters, if you disagree with the previous governments term in charge you are deemed a non partisan witness. However the guards, who worked under that government are all fine to testify. Fuck that.
