At worst any of my friends are ambivalent towards trump and can tell this is bullshit.

I can't help but engage people on facebook. My grandmother posts a lot of contradicting stuff, like about 'social security is not a handout' and how we have an obligation to help the poor, but then shares Prager U videos about taxes. I've respectably commented on a ton of her posts, but she has never responded. She still invites me over for holiday dinners though.

Love that every reply to his tweets is about his large son killing a dog

  9. in my mind "leftist" refers to anti-capitalist, or basically anything to the left of Democrats. if you align with Dems, I'd just say liberal, I guess.

edit: that said, if you have the time/patience, it's probably easier to just describe what you believe, because everyone will have different ideas of what all of these words mean, e.g. the average American will consider Democrats "left," even if they're centrist on a global scale.

Considering the positive light the Progressive Era is generally seen in today, and the fact taht I believe we're living in the Second Gilded Age, I'd like to see Bernie and others start calling the movement to the left the New Progressive Era. Since we're talking about messaging and all that. THough I think the term "progressive" itself gets a shitty view these dyas.

Okay, pardon my stupidity with this dumb question but I'll ask it anyway. With these soaring premiums, that money ends up going, where? The insurance company? The hospital? The government? Take pregnancy. The premiums could go up by $17k - where does that 17k ultimately go? :seeno:

Premiums go to the insurance company, and they use that money to pay out your bills and what not.

What I'm trying to grasp is whether or not the actual cost the hospital charges for a pregnancy with no issues remains the same, but your premium still goes up? So that's straight profit for the insurance company, no?
