Eh, I expected this. Corbyn wins pretty easily against May at PMQs so it's obvious that she wouldn't want to face him in a live TV debate.

 

It's hard to argue looking at the numbers that they didn't make huge gains in Georgia, Texas, and Arizona.

I know the "easier" path to victory is to re-invest in the rust belt states, but I really hope the future campaigns find a way to keep making strides in those other 3 states. They won't be able to pour the same amount of money into them that the HRC campaign did though.

Yep, pretty much. According to this blog by Channel 4 News, "Theresa May is not a huge fan of these sorts of encounters and her team think they open up risks that don’t need to be taken."

 

Sure, progress in any state is good, but materially it won't lead to success without local and up electoral victories. The 50 state strategy still means you gotta go to Wisconsin and Michigan.
