Lurie is pretty solid on most issues. He's an old white guy so I'm not surprised with his Kaep stance, but he's given full support to Malcom Jenkins AFAIK, unless something has changed.

He's almost definitely the furthest left NFL owner on Environmental issues.

Well this isn't awkward at all considering how you've ignored me on here the whole year and agreed with everything David and Jason was saying about MENA minorities' and their voting, LOL. (I know you know who I am now right...gonna go back to not replying to me? :P)

I looked for a bunch of leftist Assyrians on Twitter like myself, found him, and well yes, the rest is history.

I have no idea who you are? So I'm not sure how I could have possibly ignored you. But I tend to agree with David and Jason a lot. And I feel like posting is often redundant when someone is making points I agree with.

Regardless, Ramsin is an incredibly smart man. And I owe him a lot. He was my primary mentor in law school. So it is really cool to see him getting recognized.

No worries, my post history will tell you :wine: But don't let that deter you. Contrary to pop belief, I'd rather be able to get along with people. And yes he is very smart. I encourage people to follow him on Twitter.

He got a kick out of it when I told him. I didn't realize he was an elected officer of Chicago DSA. So now I'm engaged in a long discussion with him about that haha.

Random aside, I have an acquaintance who contacted me asking for contact info for a few friends because this person was gonna start an Assyrian Bar Association in Chicago. I gave him a few (because I'm randomly friends with more than a few Assyrian lawyers) and mentioned Ramsin. And the guy got real angry and said Ramsin was too pretentious and didn't like seeing other Assyrians succeed, which was a common Assyrian thing. I was like, "uhhhhhh it's possible he just doesn't like you man."

Yea him and his sister went to the DSA con and I'm pretty sure they're at meetings often. There's a prominent pop of Assyrians in Chicago, I have relatives there.

and lol @ the success thing, that's actually the first I've heard that

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Company I work for just gave us 4 extra holidays to promote their Diversity and Inclusion initiative directly aimed at those that don't participate in Christian holidays...very cool.

I am learning that! I honestly hadn't heard the word "Assyrian" for the first 27 years of my life. Or if I did, I just assumed someone was saying "a Syrian," you know?

And then in 2011 when I started law school I became really close with 4 Assyrians in like a six month period. It alerted me to an enormous blind spot in my life.

I am gonna be a groomsmen for one of them. So I'll get to experience my first Assyrian wedding soon. My friend told me it was a little different from the Catholic weddings I'm used to. Haha
