Why the fuck would be associate with Cuomo? He gets little out of it from a guy that just vetoed assistance for people that are predominantly working class and black and brown.

Also it's a pet issue of his...I wouldn't be surprised to see him next to a Republican Gov if said Republican Gov was enacting free tuition.

I mean, I get the realpolitik nature of his decision. Given Cuomo's actions just a few days ago, it seems like a bad look to me, because it provides him with credentials that he will invariably use to hurt more people.

 

Hey, question for the Leftists:

Is Jacobin's ABCs of Socialism an effective and accessible rundown of socialism for someone with little experience (and none in recent years) of reading philosophy? Or, alternatively, are there any other decent books/articles/etc. worth starting with?

I want to have a better understanding and not feel quite as much like a kid eavesdropping on the adults' conversations, lol, but with the stage of my life I'm in, I'm not interested in tackling dense philosophical texts.

(Thought about posting this in the official thread, but this thread seems active enough, and it's the one I feel most comfortable posting in.)

If it was in fact yanked I would say this is exactly what is happening. Trump may not care what the electorate thinks of him but members of Congress still seem to appear to. We'll see how long that lasts, though.
