  2. The USC/LA poll? He is not up by two points. Clintons average is still +5.3.

In the USC/LA poll he is up 2 points, at least that is what RealClearPolitics says. I know she is still up in the average.

I wonder if Rudy realizes that "go online and look at the videos yourself" is how 25% of the country is convinced he's part of the inside job that was 9/11.

Maybe there's another thread for this, and I'm sure I could investigate myself, but there's a lot of experts here on everything.

Early this year, my job slowed down and I was furloughed for a month. Work picked back up, I came back, and have continued on like normal.

I just found out that when I came back, my health insurance was never reinstated, and I've gone 5 months now unaware that I wasn't covered.

Will I have to pay the tax penalty?

My initial though is proooobably yes. I don't know what or if there's any recourse you can take in terms of proving you should have been insured but your company didn't reinstate it. My guess is there is some way you can fight that, but I don't know the details on that.

If my memory is correct, if you do have to pay the penalty I believe it gets prorated based on the amount of months you were uninsured. So your penalty wouldn't be the "full" penalty but rather based on being uninsured for 5 months.

I'm seeing heavily conservative people posting articles with Kirstie Alley criticizing President Obama for not going to Louisiana even though the governor told him not to come for the exact reasons posted above.

Well I think penalty kicks in if you go over three months. You'll probably be hit with some penalty when you file your tax returns. But if you get coverage for part of the year the annual fee is divided by 1/12th for each month you were uncovered.
Of course, you should see if you qualify for an exemption so you don't have to worry about it:

  20. There's a simple fix for Obamacare's current woes: the public option
The plan that passed out of the House in late 2009 had a public option. In the Senate, however, Joe Lieberman said he wouldn’t cast the 60th Democratic vote to end Republicans’ filibuster unless it was dropped. "Let’s give [the rest of the law] two or three years to see how it works," he said in his usual fair-minded way, "before we talk about creating another entitlement that will end up increasing the national debt and putting more of a burden on taxpayers."

I can't think of any definition of citizen's arrest that would include voting for the other candidate
