It's certainly better than where it was in 2008/2009, that you can't deny

08 was the direct result of Clintonian policies in the 90s lmao

Still not the same thing as saying Clinton and trump are equal

So Bush Jr didn't have any role in that whatsoever?

Yes it is. One will be president, and you are declining to say which you rather have

He certainly didn't help the situation but you're uninformed if you're not aware of the deregulation in the 90s that created the financial situaion

I don't want to eat shit or dirt. Instead I will ask for steak, even though I know the restaurant doesn't carry it. I'm saying shit and dirt are equally bad?

But you know you'll get either shit or dirt regardless, so which one would you rather have?

So is the economy better now than in 08? No one asked for a cause to the collapse, we're aware bush and Clinton played a large role in.

You should probably follow the conversation back to the starting point, where I said "Clintonian neoliberalism caused the economic collapse," which Ferrari said had never happened, then said the economy now is almost better than ever because obama rescued it, then said that at least its better than it was in 08 (when there was a collapse that he either didnt know about or deliberately ignored at the start), then tried to deflect clintons role in the collapse by pointing to bush. it's like talking to a goldfish. The conversation started because I pointed to clinton as the cause of the collapse.

ill take whatever the waiter brings and shove it down his throat

Yes you are. Because by asking for the steak, you run the risk of getting shit because but enough people asked for dirt.

While I think Ferrari is posting a rosey picutre that isn't quite 100% accurate, the LPR's decline started in the late 90's and has continued because the boomer generation is starting to retire. That's not the whole reason, but it's a pretty big reason.

If I could just forget it

Unfortunately that's when the kitchen staff shows up with guns and forces you to eat it, or else they lock you in the freezer.

Oversimplified and inaccurate--but one such policy was the Clinton Admin pressuring banks to give mortgages to people who couldn't afford them if they lost their jobs....aka poor people.

If enough people ask for the steak at the restaurant, perhaps eventually the restaurant will start to offer steak, and even a small chance of that happening outweighs choosing between shit and dirt forever

The problem is at least half of the clientele like eating shit and they see their shit as the dirt (or even better than dirt), and see your dirt as the shit. And since there's no other restaurant in town, the people that refuse to eat at the restaurant because they don't serve steak will get nothing, and the restaurant will still thrive on the shit eaters and just change the entire menu over to shit because no one's coming in for the dirt. Or, at the very least, they'll still be making more money than the two new restaurants that spring up and serve dirt and steak exclusively.

But also why are we back to these weird analogies that aren't quite good enough lol so weird

because someone insists that opting for a third choice is the same as saying that the other two are equally detestable, which is ludicrous.
