when has a take i've had been good and informed to you, ryan??????????? literally every post you make at me is like "lol u suk"

i exaggerated a bit, he'd be fine, but he's definitely not a very broad candidate. i trust his social and economic views a ton, but that's truly not all there is in this country. all of his speeches have been very slight variants on the same thing, i've seen a billion at this point. yes, i love what he says on those topics, but he's nothing close to a perfect candidate

I'm not a Bernie supporter, but to see two millionaires get up on their pulpit and mock people who are passionate about a candidate and call them ridiculous is not the way to win people over.

    This image comes to mind:

No one said he's a perfect candidate but saying he'd be a bad president because his speeches focus on the very issue that led to the rise of the neofascist movement happening this year is absurd, not to mention that speeches in general are an awful awful indicator of actual policy, platform, and capability as an executive. Pointing to that as why he's unqualified is shallow and useless.

They're just as important as the ones trump will take away, he just hasn't had the chance. Yet.

This is a great summary of the dialogues going on right now.

In other words, "vote for people who have actually murdered you in the past, because they promise they won't do that again."
If that is a calculation you've made, fine. But, don't presume to take some moral high ground, in which those who reject Clinton are somehow complicit in Trumpism. It is ridiculous and actually cancels out the activities of innumerable people who engage in political activities for their own and others liberation. You don't get to do that. Or, rather, you can do that, but it is that sort of complicity with the establishment that continually regenerates the neoliberal center.

Read in the times that upwards of 75% of white males don't find Hillary trustworthy. Think it was off a Washington Post poll.

There is no way a Clinton backer can assume a moral high ground. it's just not possible. Rejecting both Clinton and trump is the only solution for members of the black American community, I have a better understanding of that thanks to this thread.

My issue is not one of policy or morality but one of practicality. When the alternatives have no chance of winning, don't you have to play the hand you're forced to play? As disturbing as it may be?

I mean, I disagree. I think there are other ways of intervening in politics that are consequential.

This is a month and a half old but Ralph Nader wrote an op-ed for the LA Times and it articulates, in part, exactly how I feel about voting for Clinton

What is sort of refreshing about this election is the amount of people that are distancing themselves from the politics of party affiliation. As many #NeverTrump people as there are on the right along with the #FeelTheBern crowd on the left, people are rejecting dying on their blue or red hill.

Bush could have nuked California and GOP-voters would have found a way to justify it. Barack Obama could have pissed on Princess Diana's grave on live television and the Vox headline would have read "6 ways pissing on a grave is really good for the environment!"

I am glad to see less of that. If there is one good things that comes out of this election, I think it will be that people will view politics as less of a "team competition" and more about values and principles.

Thank god the DNC built a wall around the podium. Could you imagine if one of the plebeians actually got close to our dear leaders? They might contract Zika or something!

Man, almost as if she's a presidential candidate at a major event doing something that literally everyone else does. Go figure.

The person standing up there isn't a presidential candidate, and aside from that I am not sure what purpose that walled off podium serves.
