Pence is somehow less tolerant than Cruz when it comes to abortion (afaik he doesn't even allow for cases in rape, incest, or life of the mother), but cruz is so supremely slimy. idek

Had to google her and now I can say: confirmed bitch. She's also adopted several kids which is terrifying because even when she tries to behind the "it was a salute" excuse, she very clearly turned to the left and raised her arm in a Nazi salute.

It couldn't have been intentional. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think it could be intentional in a "I really fucking hate Trump and want to mock him" kind of way. That's probably the only way it is intentional.

You're giving her way too much credit. Let's do an exercise for an example. Stand up, turn slightly to your left and raise your arm straight, flat and forward. THEN turn and wave. If that feels natural to you, congratulations, you're probably a Nazi. This was absolutely intentional and even if she was mocking Trump, it's not acceptable. I can't lift my arm like that without thinking about World War II and it's incredibly insensitive at best if she did this as some form of ironic joke, which, given her past stance on civil rights, is a long shot. Not sure why anyone is trying to defend her.

Regarding Pence as Trump's VP pick, I found this article interesting - Mike Pence job is to help Republican leaders convince themselves Trump will be okay

From it, potentially reasoning for Pence wanting the job, compared to those who didn't:

Given the level of scrutiny that's put on RNC speakers at this point, I just don't see she would think she'd get away with it.

I've got to give you credit for not thinking like the kind of person who would do this and not want to get away with it. I expect she will deny it, but her actions on a national platform have validated any secret Nazi sympathizers, and we know that they exist in this country. Even if you're determined to believe it wasn't intentional, it was irresponsible.

Obviously, our goal is structural change, so we would have to fight against Trump on every level, so it is not indirect support of Trump or something like that. But it also assumes that Clinton may be better and, as I said above, I think she will be bad in a different way that won't be beneficial for the groups people say we are protecting by voting for her.

If I didn't live in a swing state I probably wouldn't even care. I'm going to keep my eye on the polls the week before the election and if it looks like Trump might win Florida then I'll suck it up and vote for Hillary, if the polls show Hillary leading in Florida then i'll just go to voting booth pretty much just to vote for Medical Marijuana; and i'll either leave the presidential spot blank or vote for Jill Stein.

There really needs to be a movement to make "asshole" and "douchebag" catch all gender neutral pejoratives. You can use insulting curse words towards someone without being gender specific.

I really thought we'd moved past that particular word being considered misogynistic. I for one use that word far more often in reference to men than women but I get that not everyone views that way and I'm sorry if it offended anyone.

I don't think, in the hands of men, it can be anything but misogynistic, particularly when directed at women. I know I don't say it because of its history and how it is deployed to undermine strong women, but women have done a lot of work to reclaim it and I wouldn't tell them not to say it.

An argument could be made that calling a man a "bitch" is just as misogynistic. It's almost always used in the context of a male being effeminate or non masculine, and it's meant to equate those "non masculine" men with females and to place them on a lower level than "masculine" men, thus at the same time implying women to be less than men.
