Finished my Christmas shopping this afternoon. Very excited to be done with it as now I don't have to go to stores except to grocery shop. The more I can avoid crowds and people foaming at the mouth over 5 dollars off a toaster, the better.

My friend shared a status from Tila Tequila today and it is seriously weird how much she is a nazi supporter. I forgot to mention my friend was just making fun of the status from her.

also I went to get my refund on my Kanye ticket today and I was seriously debating buying a Bruno mars ticket. The problem being it's next November and I'll probably forget about it.

 

I do not understand why some artists settle for being a bad performer. are you content with mediocrity?? Is mediocrity the only level u can obtain? does your legacy mean nothing?? Why dont u care?? like my faves included obv. I just don't get attaining that nearly impossible dream of becoming a worldwide star and being so lazy once u get it. where's the fire? it's not like they can't rehearse and work and improve?? I do not understand and I do not accept it

It's not lol! I think she's actually improved over time. even if she's still not great I respect her for working to get better and making an attempt. we can't all be iconic performers but we can at least do our best, so when I see artists given this huge opportunity and just phoning it in i feel like Tyra Banks yelling at tiffany.

I think I go on this rant after every awards show lol

 

Give me examples. I want this rant to continue.

 

Tbh I think it'd take less time to list great performers! and it's not even a kiana dance rant post cause I enjoy plenty of performers who don't dance. There are plenty other ways to command a stage. I feel like too many performers feel the need to dance and I'm like no stop u suck. either play up ur strengths or work on ur weaknesses but don't assault my eyeballs. Or like that chainsmokers dude like what is his deal he can't even muster the ability to sing-talk and walk at the same time. I just miss iconic performances. like I'm yawning and feeling very whelmed.

I think part of it could be the mentality of, "I've reached the top of the mountain" and then either thinking they'll always stay there no matter what they do or a belief by those around them that whatever they do is great for fear of pissing them off.

 

I agree and it kills me! I'm like don't be content! push yourself! I'm sure they are surrounded by all sorts of yes people and stans who praise everything they do but I'm like dang do you play that back and feel like you aced it? really?? can I get hired to judge performances and tell ppl they suck? I can be a professional "no" person. my mommy issues have equipped me to be cruelly critical!! I was born for this

 

Lol she struggles. and it's not that I think she's untalented like obv she can nail it when she plays up her strengths but these "sexy" dance performances are not her strength. she's a bad, lazy dancer who does not seem confident doing it and it makes her singing weaker cause sis needs an inhaler up there when she's trying to do both. like sis this is not the business. do some simple lil low maintenance moves to complement the jams and slay the game.

 

I include One Direction in this list too. I feel like my icon is mocking me as I type lol

 

Almost got to see a pre-screening last week, bummed I missed it now that I'm hearing how good it is from those who've seen it. I hope to catch it after I see Moonlight (and maybe Arrival a second time)

 

Ari just seems like a barbie doll where every move is calculated and nothing is real, she also always is out of breath hah

 

Just got out of this, 1 hour 20 min to get home today. One of those cars is me, haha

One good thing about this area is no traffic like I legit saw somebody just riding their horse down the street today.

 

the only reason there is traffic in my town is all the dang construction going on right now.

 

I'm bored and not tired cause I'm bored and overthinking things that are mundane. we need more west coasters to hold down the fort at night. I was watching an ep of Frasier and he was so shook that a black woman was better at his job and then a couple eps later there was a black man at his party and I was like oh wow and then he obv didn't want them there and I was like oh ok makes sense.

Lemme know if anyone needs more sitcom episodes summarized
