Ap.Net was blocked by my job, Chorus.FM is not. I'm pretty stoked on that alone.

 

I saw people I know on Facebook talking about AP being dead and wondering what Chorus would be like and I really want to know if any of them have put together that I'm Meerkat

I swear I've seen that dude post around before, wasn't the greatest if I remember right.

 

I keep wanting to pop into those conversations on Facebook with people wondering what the website will be like with a "I mean you guys know I didn't die, right? Like I'm the same person."

20 years of being made fun of for a URL I picked at like 13. Now a full week of (thankfully a very small minority) people being very mad I changed the name and made the website load literally 50x faster and actually work.

Gotta love the internet that treats people like they're faceless entities. Like I don't exist as a person. Like I don't have feelings and thoughts and reasons for things. Like the name and entity that was absolutepunk didn't mean more to me than some asshole online. I created the damn thing! Hahaha.

I for the life of me cannot understand people who are decrying about the death of AP. Like this site is practically the same thing but better, so why complain? This is literally that Louis CK bit about everything being awesome but nobody is happy, except with random people who somehow think that AP was superior.

 

New is always better!

 

It cracks me up. It really does. But what bothers me most is like, why not ask me? I mean, I'm right here, I'm online most of my day ... like ask me instead of calling me names online. Ask why I did one thing versus another. Like I'm not gonna hide or not talk to someone, haha. It is so weird to me.

Also Wednesday was the best traffic day we've seen in like 6 months so I've got some for them.

Listen Jason. Don't get me started on the shit The CW has pulled this year, more specifically this week. I officially broke up with The 100 after tonight's episode. I'm very smad about all of my TV shows except Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl right now. If Orphan Black goes off the rails I'm going to become a stock holder in Ben & Jerry's.

 

Being on here reminds me of just how little TV I actually watch, I only watch a handful of shows per week and most of them are on HBO. I've gotten so lazy with TV.

 

I'll definitely still be curious to hear your thoughts if you eventually catch up. Lots of great discussion is coming out of a lot of what's happening, so that's at least good

I really don't watch that much, but I'm pretty selective about what I do watch for the most part. It's how I wind down at the end of the day. Or, it was, until all my shows became stress vessels

 

I don't understand people being mad about the change of sites. It's the same thing but prettier, a name that grew up along w/ the content it puts out, and the same heart and soul behind it. Dropping the name "AbsolutePunk" was enough for a couple of my friends to check out the site whereas the name alone previously turned them off.

 

I think I probably will be soon. I can't only work. I'll combust.

 

Some people complain just to be difficult.

Thanks for this. And I know for a fact that's been an issue for years. And let's be real, being tied to that name is hilarious. I never meant for it to be anything .. I was like 13. Haha. It's like asking someone to keep their same haircut they had in middle school forever. Like is that the ask from some people? That I do that ... for literally ever? They gonna front the money for that? They gonna pay the overages in server fees because of how outdated the software was?
