I wish I still had a job where I could listen to music all day. I used to always feel caught up, now I'm so behind.

 

@cwhit ruined my life bc he posts about a new band every day and as of now has a batting average of like .950

Then again I'm just really getting into that "scene" so it's exciting discovering a ton of new shit. While still balancing all my other interests.

Music is cool.

 

It's happening a lot lately where I will check out a release with a lot of buzz on here and that release will do just nothing for me or a group of friends will all have very similar opinions about a release that is vastly different than mine. (This is currently happening to a release I'm checking out for the first time.)

it's also real easy if you're a big facebook user like i am, following a lot of people who are in the scene/play with bands as well as bands posting about others. names are just coming at me all the time, you just hear which ones seem best and you end up knowing whom to trust

Anohni. Just posted my thoughts in the album thread.

 

No one wants to go with me to see Chelsea Wolfe and that is such a bummer.

 

Dang I'm #6 in posts and i still feel like I'm always behind in the forums

 

95% of what I listen to is because of this place or what came before it.

 

I broke 2,000 posts yesterday. Averaging just at 1,000 posts at a month. I need a life.

I feel like I find fewer and fewer albums I love each year.

 

I've yet to find any album in 2016 that I want to listen to even half as much as I want to listen to Lemonade or The Life of Pablo. Which is saying for me something in a year with a Dustin Kensrue record. I expect Thrice, The Hotelier, and maybe Saosin to push themselves into that realm for me.

Spotify Helps me discover music I missed and I always check out the New Releases section. I use Spotify daily so I feel like I don't miss too much. But I can't keep up with some of the people/music on this site. Just not enough hours in my lifetime.
