For real tho, it honestly feels like the Blink thread is drawing out all the shitty toxic people who were on AP and that bums me the fuck out.

 

I'm gonna have to go check out that trainwreck

 

I think that is the prevailing opinion/experience of every guy in our age group.

 

It moves way too fast for me to keep up with if I wanted to. But what I've seen pretty much encapsulates why I stopped posting on AP.

 

This was the literal reaction of any red blooded male who saw that video back in the day.

That video reminds me of how weird it is when bands scream without using a mic. It just looks like painful yawns.

At the end of the day, it's a bunch of bands playing songs about dick jokes and get their heart stepped on. Who cares? Like objectively, how does it affect your life in a meaningful way? You don't even have to go it bothers you that bad. Now that said, someone please pull this up if I go on a rant about something similarly ridiculous.

yep, a ton of stuff. one of the premier contemporary jazz pianists. This is from Anything Goes which is a bunch of covers of all types of stuff, the Art of the Trio series is essential, he's got a couple cuts with Pat Metheny, some great solo stuff like Elegiac Cycle and Live in Tokyo, a few as a sideman and one as a leader with Joshua Redman, a great album with Perico Sambeat. He's everywhere. Sideman on albums from Chris Potter, Willie Nelson, Charles Lloyd, Scofield, Wayne Shorter, Rosenwinkel, Allen Toussaint, etc etc. This isn't a bad place to start I suppose.
