I never thought about it but it seems like you shouldn't have to pay for uniforms? Do you pay for gear and stuff? Or like do you mean dress uniforms?

I've never had a credit card. Back when I always had money and was debt free nobody would give me one cause I had no credit. Now that I'm in debt but have credit I could prob get one but I'm in debt and don't want to add more stresses to that idk. Maybe after my loans are paid off. If Sephora ever got a cc I'd be screwed.

 

I'm going to be buying a house within the next year or so so I need to build credit. I've been doing pretty well in terms of using it/paying it off without garnering interest

 

Enlisted got a stipend every other year for uniforms. I think they also get issued some initially. Its weird but how it is. I can't think of any gear specifically you need to buy but I did have a couple of pouches to hold my admin stuff. Nothing to crazy like some guys can get.

Wow. That just doesn't seem right to me. I have a decent amount of military in my family and I've never even thought to ask.

Yeah, it was like $200 a year. It sucked because the price of a single set went up to $100. If you are in the field a lot, those don't last long.

 

Me and my fiancé are looking for a house. I have bad credit, but she was able to add me to one of her credit cards. It's helped immensely.

 

I'm not good enough yet to sing while finger-picking the verses, but I'll settle for just playing along to Dirty Paws for now. Oh my god, what an incredible feeling.

I saw finger, dirty paws, and incredible feeling before actually reading your post and my mind went waaaaaay into the gutter for a minute.

 

I know some guys who go crazy with it. I wasn't a combat arms guy so I didn't really feel the need to have the fanciest gear in the land that would allow me to change magazines a fraction of a second faster. Really I just needed a good pouch for my map, notebook, and pens because that's really all I ever had to use.

I also think that's become more of a thing in the GWOT than before. I did own a lot of uniforms and paid god knows how much money to get them sewn. You could tell I was a military college kid because I cared way to much about the appearance of my ACUs.

This is why I kept mine as long as I did. Buying this summer. Just need to eliminate unneeded monthly payments so that we can get a good loan. Almost there on a down payment. Good luck tho. Buying a house and looking has been such a stressful process. Might just be the area though since houses sell in a day here.

 

I'm currently watching (for the first time) Frasier and I absolutely love it. I'm at the beginning of Season 2.

 

I almost peed myself when I saw this. I can't stop watching it.

I have one under my sister and I'm told we kinda share credit, so my credit must be fantastic.

 

Watching 20 preschoolers dance is so funny omg. It's like watching mini drunk ppl try to be coordinated.

 

I'm starting to feel like the classic artist thing is fizzling.

But I'm also super depressed so maybe I'm not a good judge.
