I usually go in around 9, take a 70 minute break, and leave at 4. lol. My job is super lax.

I don't like my job enough to not take as many breaks as I can and make them as long as I can

This kinda schedule sounds appealing to me, as long as I didn't have to go over 40 hours often. The 40+ hour work week is not something I think I'd ever want to do, but i wouldn't mind grinding work out for a day and getting longer weekends instead. Plus more money.

I got to my job at 7 this morning. It's 530 right now and I'm literally sitting here doing nothing but have to wait for this delivery truck at 6 to instruct them about something because they keep bringing me the wrong shit and my calls/emails isn't working so I have to physically tell and show them what i need. I'll probably be here till like 8.

Me and my other coworker were pretty bad. Whenever she had field work she'd grab me and we'd go get breakfast or, since a lot of our field work was along the coast, visit beachside shops in places like Malibu or Santa Barbara. That would kill half the work day (the trip as a whole, some places were an hour drive) and that was always nice.

I want to spend all the money on all the useless things and I hate it. I don't need any of it but I want a new pair of sunglasses and decorations for my room and need to buy a bday present for my bff and then there's mother's day next month and this novela isn't available on youtube with english subtitles so I wanna buy it on ebay + my coworker was like let's see BSB and Enrique in NY and we probably won't but it sounds amazing and the idea being up in the air stresses me out too lol

I was rreeeeeeaaaallllly tempted to drop a lot of money to see Ellie Goulding in the city but my buddy was being wishy wiashy too. Can't be having that.

ugh you just reminded me I still need to buy the plane tickets and hotel room to see Britney. My friend isn't being wishy washy so much as she struggles a bit more financially and I just wanna buy it all and get it over with and she can't do that

That sucks tho. At least you prob made a good call if the friend was kinda undecided about it. That'd be really stressful

Today, I finished my internship and my last semester of undergrad. I may or may not have cried when I left.....

It's pretty surreal to me that I'm done already, the past four years went by very quickly.

I really hope I don't need to do an internship for my undergrad. I have a full time job and don't want to quit for some underpaid stuff.

I've been very fortunate that my parents have been able to help me and haven't need a full time job. This would have been a lot tougher if I had because mine was 40 hours a week and unpaid.

most don't, some will give you a stipend like say pay for your transportation there, and I think some are paid but those are rare

the best was as part of my grad program I had to pay for a course that included a free internship, so I paid to do free labor basically

I think it just depends on where you go. I'm pretty sure I looked into it a couple years ago and Apple offered a paid one.

Same, mine was basically a 12 credit course. It was required for my degree and of course they're going to suck as much money out of us as they can.

This week I decided to take a break from constantly cleaning up after my roommates. I thought them dirtying all the apartment's silverware would force them to, you know, do their dishes. Instead, I came home today to find everything still in the sink and a huge package of plastic utensils on the counter.

So I walk in the gym locker room and this dude comes up to me and says, "can you please take a picture of me?" and hands me the phone.

He then poses twice as I take the pictures and thanks me and gives me a fist bump before leaving.

I also had to pay for my jnternship credits. I had to complete 300 hours of interning which I did through a non-profit arts organization in the town over from my school. Ontop of not getting paid/paying for those credits was that I was required to work new years eve or Id lose my internship. So NYE morning I had to drive over 200 miles from my parents house to my internship, the internship didn't provide any food all day nor did they provide options for housing that night. Most of my day was spent "stage managing" which actually meant sitting around and getting house counts. By the end of the night I was so fed up that I ended up driving the 200+ miles home.

I've yet to have a salary position, so I never took breaks that weren't forced upon me because I always needed the money.

And one of my internships was paid, while another wasn't paid but did put me up in housing/cover most food.
