My favorite thing about the GG theme is that Carole King was upset she wrote that song about following a man and when she was asked if Gilmore Girls could have it she loved the idea of rebranding it and reclaiming it as a song about mothers and daughters

 

That Full House theme is super dope though.

I feel like Gilmore Girls was more of a fixture in my life but the OC hit me at a more pivotal time. Like to me it is THE show. The shows of all shows that got me into shows. When I hear the theme it reminds me of easy innocent times. I like the GG theme cause it's the GG theme but I don't really like the song as much itself oop

 

Same but without the Gilmore Girls until now when I'm 26. The OC changed everything for me too.

 

Whenever I hear it I think about my mom and immediately start crying

My uncle across the street has it on vinyl. I should borrow it.

 

I was actually going to say I think I like it less cause I associate it with mother daughter relationships and I don't care for my mom so I don't have any emotional attachment to it in that sense. That's sweet about your mom tho!

 

That's absolutely understandable. My mom and I are best friends. My family is freakishly close.

 

I found out today my asshole boss at work is a giant Bright Eyes fan.

 

Fun fact: I've never once listened to Bright Eyes.

 

Bright Eyes is purdy gud. Binge listened to them not too long ago.

 

It's weird because considering the music I listen to, I would of came across them at some point but I have yet to actually listen to them.

Yes. It's had two runs in Cleveland in the past year or two and I haven't pulled the trigger and regret it.

 

Tried to wait until another opportunity came but I reached my personal limit and quit my job. Having to work harder to find something new is better than losing my sanity to an incompetent company and missing out on seeing my children over it.

It's actually a pretty decent adaptation of his origin, too, down to him fighting the Kangaroo first. My only complaint is that Bombshell was reduced to a damsel who gets punched by two different dudes in the face. But yeah, Sony and Marvel, take some dang notes, lol.

 

Now I need to watch the entire season of The OC.

 

Gets on the bus to see everyone with a seat to give either spread out on it or with their bag on it and asleep.

Don't think I ever watched The OC but Gilmore Girls is great.

Bright Eyes is also great, go listen to them.

I don't understand people's public transit etiquette (or lack thereof, rather). It's not difficult to put your bag on your lap or in front of you; people need to sit more than your bag does.
