Actually now that Im looking at it, I don't know if we can create sub forums

So do I need to change my Sturgill thread to a specific format or?

 

They both have ones on ap that saw some action. As did Rollins, Mingus, Evans and maybe more.

Jealous. I've seen them only twice, both after they got back together.

I didn't really go to much shows growing up.

wowwwwww. i think the most i have seen one band is Underoath with 6 haha

 

It was a good 45 minute drive but we made the trips for them. I was in 8th or 9th grade the 1st time I saw them. That show was super intimate and maybe 20 people were there.

 

I like having a standard system very much. All threads I made at AP where "Artist - Title" and then in the OP was:

Release date, quick descriptor
album art
track list
lead single(s)/video(s)

 

Once it's decided what the album threads should look like quote/tag me and I'll change my Sturgill thread.

Yeah having a standardized thing would be great. It'll make searching for album threads easier and it'll make it nice to not have to sift through dozens of pages to find a review or songs if you get to the thread late

The "similar threads" feature will hopefully cut down a lot on duplicate threads as well.

 

Can't threads be tagged with "2016 Albums" then when you click on that tag it will bring up a list of albums with that same tag? I may be wrong.

 

I like the idea of the OP being informational. If a list of recs gets added, do it there. Put a picture or a song. Get the wiki bio. Just have some kind of introduction at least.

 

I'm still having a tough time getting used to artist and album threads co-mingling in the same place

 

I'm going to go against the grain here, and say that standardizing thread's OPs is a bit of a futile and boring exercise. It really didn't bother me in the slightest that there wasn't a standard on AP. Plus I think having the first post being the opening paragraph in wiki is a bit dull, most people will scroll right past that.

Buuuut, different strokes for different folks an' all tha'.

I agree, but I think the thought was the artist threads would be drowned by posts like "Ah, can't wait for this album!"

 

I don't really care about OP's but I think all album threads should have a standard title. I also think album threads are really important for music discovery.

 

At this point, you do have a point. Just something that I've been used to so far I suppose
