im baffled at people who defend it really

 

I don't get the whole stage diving and crowd surfing thing. I just want to be immersed in a crowd of sweaty bodies shouting along to my favorite jams, not worrying about where the next flying bro will be coming from.

 

and like i said if the performer wants to do it thats up to them if they think the audience wants to participate, and if they dont they better be prepared to take the blame for anything that goes wrong. the dynamic between performer and crowd is much, much different than the crowd and a random person the crowd so the comparison doesnt work at all when looking at the two scenarios

 

Forgot how much I like The National at night.

Also, Foxing seems like a weird band to even think about stage diving on. Sounds ridiculous.

 

Fair enough. I'm also looking at this from the perspective of a 5'11 guy who can still actually see given whatever view limitations there are at the back of a crowd at any given venue.

It's nice to not have other people sweating on you too, I'd have to be really hyped up to get in the middle of a crowd anymore.

 

the national is def a quintessential night time band. i swear seeing them outdoors on an october night was just one of the most memorable concert experiences ever due to the atmosphere and ambiance of the night sky, coupled with their absolutely perfect music, and my other favorite band (tame impala) opening.

 

If this isn't reason enough not to do it then I'm at a lose for words

 

That would be pretty damn amazing.

Just finished some bug work, need to go edit my "hey this is what's happening with AP.net" post, and a cold beer with The National with the lights off makes me wanna just lay on the floor and listen instead.

 

Man that show was unreal, dug every band on that tour at the time. Though, even I got a bit tired after catching so many stagedivers. They were relentless throughout the entire show. Had to catch a breather halfway through The Wonder Years' set.

 

i vote you just lay on the floor. heh. soak it all up

 

yeah im 5'8, depending on the venue seeing can be a pretty big issue for me

 

So like... What is happening with AP.net? Is it gonezo or? Like obviously this is going to be the new forum, but everything else?
