I posted this recently, but I'm hoping it pans out better in the books since she was given significant less chapters in AFFC/ADWD, so maybe it won't be drawn out nearly as much as it was in the show.

Dany and Arya are such letdowns. They started out as the characters I loved the most and have become the parts of the show I want to skip most.

Yeah Tyrion tells the pyromancer he's not making it for cersei anymore he's making it for him. If it is the rumour which I'm 99% sure it is them maybe she wanted to know if any was leftover or something.

  4. Cercei's question was about one of the following three subjects:

-The availability of wildfire in Kings Landing
    -The whereabouts of Tyrion
-Were Jaime and Brienne fuckin' in there?

Why would the town children be privy to that rumor? Did they sell the Wildfire to local arson syndicates who have been sitting on the shit for years?

Why would she care about Tyrion? "I know I've been currently defeated and have no power and my allies are an old man and a zombie but hey let's try and go oversees and kill a man at the head of the largest army in the world."
    Makes sense.

Oh my god guys it's a TV show, who the hell cares if a person didn't fight exactly how you thought they should.

The nerds overscrutinizing every frame of every episode is slowly killing me.

  8. To not care about Tyrion because of her current issues would be both shortsighted and out of character for her. She loathes Tyrion just as much as she does the HS. Besides, its been beaten into us that her children, alive or dead, are Cersei's motivation for just about everything she does. Even if she finds out who really killed Joffrey, she'll never relent on Tyrion. She blames him for too much, she can't not care.

Besides, her little brother now being at the side of a woman with an army and a vendetta has to be noteworthy to Cersei.

I agree with most of the comments about Dany and Arya. Both story lines had moved at a great pace up until this season. Now they both feel like they are stalling, in a sense.

Arya's training has been so weird and vague that no one even knows what is going on. The build-up was anticlimactic, and the conclusion was not clear at all. Good luck getting invested in that story.

I understand what they were doing with Dany a little more, but the pacing of it seems so weird. Her story this season could have been covered within a couple of episodes, but they have her MIA so Tyrion can just keep hanging out doing nothing for the majority of the season. Hopefully in the last couple of episodes, she fights off the slavers and then meets up with Theon instead of drawing that out until next season.

I think Arya's statement to Jaqen was supposed to be more forceful and sum up the narrative of her time spent with him, i.e., I've always been a Stark and nothing will change this. But, the unevenness of her story left much to be desired. I mean, it is difficult to see what she took away from her time learning to be an assassin. The point was to get strong enough to get revenge on those who harmed her family. I feel like the process of it getting stripped away and rebuilt wasn't done very well.

When Arya was running away from the Waif I was just thinking to myself "Just kill her (arya) already and lets move on."

First off, I have a feeling Wildfire is going to be used against Dany and/or her dragons, it might also be able to stop the Wight Walkers since they're immune to regular fire.

Arya is a foolish child, with a little bit of skill given the right circumstances, that's it. I was really hoping for a Jaqen/Syrio intervention during her flee from Waif, but I'm a little glad it was straight forward, even though she seems to have mutant healing powers. Lets just see how long it takes her to get back to Westeros. By the way, how the hell did Jaqen not realize that Arya came into the house and put up the face? He seems to know everything at any time.

The Hound is still one of the best characters of the entire series, his interaction with Beric and Thoros was awesome. Did he know Beric when they were younger, because it seemed like they were old "friends" or at least acquaintances. I'm also a little bit upset that the Clegane bowl isn't happening, but then again, what sense does it even make to happen in the first place? The Hound literally has no stake in what's going on over at King's Landing.

The stuff with Tyrion was a bit lame, and made even more lame with the arrival of Dany and the presumed departure of Drogo even tho the city is being bombarded. I surely hope the dragons will step in because if not, that's just stupid.

So Jamie and Edmure accomplished what they came up with? That was very anticlimactic, you know, skipping the entire battle of between the Lannister army and the Tullys.

People keep suggesting Sansa sent the letter to Little Finger, but what if she sent it directly to Robyn(Robin?). He had a bit of a fascination with Sansa earlier in the series, and maybe she could be playing to this. We also haven't seen the scene where Little Finger is standing alone in the snow talking to someone.

It's as obvious as the sun rising that Ramsay will die, we know it can't be Jon since he was just brought back from the dead. I think Davos will die along with most of the Wildlings.

I sadly couldn't find the Craig Middlebrooks gif I was hoping for so I'll just simply tell you that it can either be shortsighted or it can be out of character.

I don't think Jaime and Edmure alleviating the siege at Riverrun is anticlimactic at all. I don't care to see a very long, drawn out battle between the Lannisters and the Tullys, especially when Jon is about to take on Ramsay and Mereen is getting attacked.

Oh also, Gendry is for sure MIA now since he was supposed to go with the Brotherhood and he just isn't with them.

I doubt the Hound and Beric were 'friends', rather they just both spent a lot of time in Kings Landing, and thus fought in a lot of the same tourny's and melees and such.

His interactions with them were great. "We all die, except for this one *points at beric*" lol

It's just, why have five seasons devoted to the Wildlings only to have them fade into obscurity? We are also nearing the final lap, we aren't quite there but the table is being set for the final arcs. Typically, you don't see many long-standing characters die in this process. Usually it's once they begin that final arc that all bets are off. I don't think a single main character dies in the battle, including Ramsay.

    I'm Back.

"I was better than you then, and I'm better than you now." or something to that effect made me think they knew each other for years and years. But either way, obviously no threat from either party.

If Sansa is enlisting the help of The Vale via Little Finger, something bad is probably going to happen...maybe...unless Little Finger really is putting his fascination of Caitlyn(sp?) onto Sansa and will do anything for her.

If no one dies, that's fine, but this season has to end on something huge, and I have a feeling the Wight Walkers will bring down the Wall.

Well Robert did rule for 19 years, and Joffery was probably supposed to be 14-15 or so at the least, if Sansa was still 13 when she married Tyrion. So there's a solid chance The Hound and Beric were in the same city on and off for 15 years. Plus I'm sure both partcipated in tourny's elsewhere too. Beric was a well known and respected knight and Lord.

Given the disparity in size, the apparent charging into archer fire, and the Bolton army using a phalanx, the preview doesn't leave much room for a reasonable inference of JS victory. And it would lead me to believe JS is a tactical boob.

  24. I don't think so. I don't see Cersei being relevant to a potential fight vs Dany or the WWs at all. I am thoroughly convinced that wildfire, if used, will be used within Kings Landing before Dany or the WW arrive.

I cringe every single time I read this.

We were directly told before the season that a trial by combat would not be happening for Cersei. It was on a well-circulated list of spoilers, of which every single spoiler mentioned has been true. For some reason this pipe dream just will not die.

I mean, its not like Drogon* was just going to stay chillin' on the roof of the pyramid as the ships are firing on it. That'd be suicide. I'm pretty sure the dragons will be a part of taking out the slavers' ships. The other possibility would be the Ironborn arriving and saving the day, but I'd be really disappointed with this outcome if its also mirrored by the KOTV showing up to save the day at the BoB next week (which I think pretty much has to happen).

I think you're right, but I really really really don't want Davos to go.

Fair enough, I used a poor choice of words there. Still, I stand by my overall point.
