ehhh I'm all for them adapting Fire & Blood and Tales of Dunk and Egg, but i don't really want to see them go beyond the end of GoT in the timeline. No matter how bad the finale was that should still be the bookend for the canon.

Fuck that, this is their one chance to fix that disaster of an ending.

I just question what there is to do with Jon. Like are we just gonna get the politics of being King Beyond the Wall? What is there to even do? Lol

but hey if they can come up with a good story, I say go for it

They won't fix anything. It's just gonna be Jon Snow adventure beyond the wall and maybe deal with the Nights Watch status post-wall coming down. What do you think they'll fix? Just unmake Bran becoming king? Undo Dany dying? Highly doubt anything going on south of The Neck will get anything beyond a few mentions.

What's done has been done. Let it go. Any attempt to "fix it" is just doomed to make it even worse.

I honestly didn’t hate any of the decisions they made to end the show, just the speed in which we got there. Dany’s 180 happened so quickly her neck almost snapped.

Would rather have a series about what Arya or Sansa are up to post-GOT, but I’d watch this.

But the burning question, will Jon ever finally know something?

Of all the spinoffs, Jons is easily the worst idea. Perfect ending for him. Let it rest

what even is there to do for him? they're friends with the wildlings and all the white walkers are dead.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they shoehorned something like that into this too

If they came up with a good story and Maisie was down to clown id be 100% IN on an Arya journey miniseries, even if it ends with her death. The Elissa Farman story in World/Fire & Blood is one of the more interesting parts and it’d be cool to see a version of that on tv. Maybe they have Arya retrace the steps of the surviving boat first to look for clues of what happened to Farman and then start west, find her islands, etx

On one hand, I hated the last couple of seasons as much as the next guy, so I have little to no enthusiasm for anything GOT-related, but on the other.... they can't really fuck it up even MORE. I don't really get the "there's nothing for him to do" thought though. This world is still wide open so I'm at least open to the idea that they have something interesting enough going on post-Daeny and White Walkers to explore.

yeha I mean I guess I’m looking at it with the mindset of “whose gonna be the big bad?!” But the world’s established politics would be just as interesting to me and I’d be a okay watching Jon dealing with Sansa and Sansa dealing with Bran over some rogue lords or a war over territory or something (though presumably none of them would be in it so idk haha)

If we have to have something set post-GOT, I'd like to have points of view from people outside the Starks. Instead of following Jon, let's follow one of his men. I dunno, do something to shake it up a bit.

True....maybe the "main character" is a Wildling or Northman serving with Jon or something. That could be interesting.

But yeah just have zero clue what the story could be about. The only people the Wildlings have constant direct contact with are the Northmen. And the other populations they deal with aren't gonna be conquering them any time soon.
