    Cool, I’ll give that a try. Sounds like if I’m still not there by the end of season two that may be the place to give up the fight.

    One question: do you like fantasy aspects in movies and shows? Like creatures, spirits, etc...

    I'd say Seasons 3 and 4 are prob the best two overall seasons, becuase they are based on what is probably the best book in the series.

    But I loved Season 2 mainly for how Tyrion centric it was and the Arya/Tywin scenes.

    I’ll prob post more thoughts but this immediately caught my eye
    Varys sitting in the dark in the crypts of Winterfell leaning against the wall, seemed like a good callback to his visits with Ned in the dungeon in Season 1.

    Also, Jaime pleading his case at Winterfell!

    No, fantasy is one genre I almost never care about. High fantasy especially. LoL. I know in general it’s not my thing, but it’s such a phenomenon that I WANT to care. Every now and then I like some, like growing up with HP and stuff.

    Okay, I've never cared for fantasy either. Like, Lord of the Rings was okay I guess, so I figured this would be more of the same but it is something different and what's weird is that there's a very fantastical moment in season two that actually made me a hundred times more interested.

    More things I’m noticing:

    Arya looking like Oberyn, fighting with what I assume is a dragonglass tipped spear.

    And is Jaime yelling “run” or “Bronn”? I just realized we don’t know what happened to Bronn with Jaime taking off do we?

    Jaime supposedly has a good mind of strategy these days so I hope we get some deliberation with him and Jon and others on defense tactics and shit

    as the wise Ben Wyatt once said;

    "It's a crossover hit. It's not just for fantasy enthusiasts, they're telling human stories in a fantasy world."

    It's not a bad thing to just not be interested. You gave it a shot, it wasn't for you. There's plenty of other great stuff to spend your time watching!

    If you want to participate in the cultural conversation around the final season, maybe try to watch the most recent season as it's faster paced. You'll miss out on certain character arcs, but that's not really what 95% of mainstream folks are talking about anyway. Maybe watch a pre-season 7 catchup video too.

    Trailer was actually pretty subdued (which I'm happy about) and still managed to get me hyped. RIDE THAT DRAGON, JON!

    Arya running away being completely terrified was all I needed to see to confirm my hype. I'm over here getting all emotional over a trailer, so idk how I'm going to make it through the season.
