how silly of people to expect a game to work the same way it’s worked so far too continue to work that way, huh?

still don’t understand how pointing out a good game could be better has made people so mad

you’re complaining about a fundamental pillar of the game. I promise you it will become a non issue so quickly. It’s okay to be heated about it. A lot of mechanics in this game exist to fuck with you or get a rise out of you. It’s perfectly normal to not want that.

fuck I literally can’t start Sekiro without getting shortness of breath from stress, so I don’t.

 

At the risk of prolonging this, I'm curious about this statement. From what I read, when you die the runes are recoverable at the place where you died. I assume if you're in the boss's arena, it's going to be recoverable inside that arena. So what part of this isn't working as intended?

Yeah I think maybe some of the confusion here comes from: what you're describing as a gameplay flaw, a lot of people in this thread (and elsewhere in the fandom I gotta assume) see as more of a feature: difficulty that is punishing, and also pretty arbitrary a lot of times

you can’t leave the boss arena once you enter it. So whereas with an open world boss you can grab your runes and then GTFO once you realize the boss is too hard with the bosses behind fog gates either you lose your runes or your beat them, there is no running

Been playing with a group of friends all night, it's so fun as a group just running around exploring shit. I also took an incredibly long elevator ride to one of the coolest looking areas I've ever seen, and it also completely obliterated any fear I've had over how much map I've already explored. This world is MUCH bigger than it looks.

 

Also I updated my PC drivers and this thing runs like butter bby! No more weird black bars or constant lightning flashes. Though my game has crashed a few times and a lot of connection issues.

My roommate (ex girlfriend, I know) fucking unplugged my PS5 for some dumb argument and I lost my entires day progress.

ugh

I can honestly say we have been just roommates for over 18 months and we never have dumb fights like this, maybe like once every 6 months.


Ugh I knew when she unplugged it I was fucked.

I’m realizing though making up time wont be as bad because I know exactly where I want to hit again.

This game is so good that the silver lining i’m taking and accepting is that at least I get to play the game longer lmao.

 

Does the game not autosave? Even without roommates being idiots, power outages are enough of a thing that you’d expect sudden outages to not ruin everything
