Okay, finished Highroad Cave. Met Alexander the Talking Pot and D along the way.

    Now it's Deathtouched time.

lmao, damn thats so frustrating. i've never used that item and couldn't imagine why someone would want to (would it let you teleport in teleport-restricted areas e.g. caves?)

    ngl, that went hard

who has beaten Sekiro? @Fucking Dustin I know you have. I am playing on Xbox, and am right before the fight for the Shura ending (wont spoil anything). I know on Xbox there is some weird things you can do so you can get all the endings on one play through (similar to Elden Ring), but wasnt sure exactly which route to go.

so my question is should I skip the Shura thing now and go for the other endings first?

If your main concern is making sure you get the full experience I’d do the save backup thing you mentioned and go for Shura now, then reload and do the rest. If your concern is achievements or accessing the bonus gauntlet things I’d skip Shura and do it again on another playthrough, I could be wrong cuz it’s been a bit but I believe there’s 1 achievement that requires all bosses on the same file (Man Without Equal) and won’t include Shura bosses if you do the backup method, and Shura gauntlet won’t unlock either cuz of not including those endings bosses until that second playthrough is done

Speaking of which end of Shura gauntlet boss is hard, I think I can do it but I am making a lot of mistakes

After playing for 101 hours, I have finally beaten Elden Ring. Finished with the age of the stars ending. I really want to plat the game, but feel like I’m ready to move onto a new game and need a break before getting the last two trophies.

Player's Log: I'm calling it a night. I see why they call Margit the "Fell Omen".

    ...
    ...
    ...

(to Margit): Cause you FELL to my BLADE *****! What's up now? What's up now?

    (clears throat)

Anyway, I beat Margit. Before that, I did a few other things.

Completed Deathtouched Catacombs, killed the Tree Sentinel, ruined that caravan I saw roaming around earlier in the game, went back to D and killed the Tibia Mariner, and then went to the Weeping Peninsula so I could unlock the Roundtable Hold.

Also met Blaidd after getting the snapping fingers gesture and pledged servitude to D's not-at-all-terrifying-and-unholy god.

Once I was in Roundtable Hold, I realized how awful From Software is, because why would you tell me that the Hold is a place with no fighting and then let me jump over a railing to a random fight I can't escape from against a fucking shitty ass wizard?

The worst is that I had over 13,000 runes at that point and I didn't spend them because I wanted to investigate the Hold and find out where my money could be spent, so the only way I could keep my runes was to kill the wizard.

    Narrator: He killed the wizard.

After finding out I can't upgrade Spirits until I get an item from Stormveil Castle, that's when I decided I'd better take on Margit, despite my every attempt to avoid doing it. And anyway, that's where I am now. He's dead, I'm not.

I don't know if I should continue exploring Stormveil or go explore the Weeping Peninsula as my next move. I know I don't want to go all the way through Stormveil because of Godrick, but what do you all think?

I've found a much better walkthrough, as I noticed the one I was using was leaving out some important bits.

Once I pick the game up again, I'm going to keep doing things around Limgrave, since it looks like there's more things I missed than I realized. Then I'll go to Weeping Peninsula and complete stuff there before heading back to Stormveil.

Stormveil Castle is absolutely massive and I would definitely explore all of Limgrave & Weeping Peninsula first. Godrick was quite tough for me at the start but as long as you are sufficiently-levelled he will be fine.

Can you link me to the walkthrough you're using? Once I finally start Journey 2, I want to use a walkthrough to see what I missed the first time.

FightinCowboy on Youtube is the best walkthrough...I use his for all the FromSoftware games. Its very detailed though and its meant to be for 100% completion of the game.

Yup seconded, I started a second Elden Ring run (haven't gotten back to it in a while though) to go through guided and see what I missed and following him has made me enjoy the game a lot more tbh

Aussie Gamer 17 is another excellent youtuber for 100% walkthroughs. He literally holds your hand the entire time. He tends to be more third party and Xbox Centric but he is great.

didn’t realize I basically stopped playing almost at the end of the game so I’m fully back in after 2ish month away. picked it right back up after an hour or so of dying.

also forgot to to Subterranean Grounds, Mohgwyn’s Palace and uhhhh Melania.

I do feel like the passage to Mohg from the surface could have been a bit more interesting. Why a portal thingy? Feels like they just ran out by then haha? Not that surprising considering the shitload of content in the game

making my way through Volcano manor atm - can't say it's my favourite area in the game so far by any stretch of the imagination; surprised myself by taking down the Godskin Noble on my 2nd try and have activated the site of grace by Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy for later, but I absolutely HATE those big mechanical things with those stupid wheel weapons. Ruins the whole area for me as there is a ton of them, and I barely do any damage with a +20 weapon and bloodflame blade on so I've just been running away from every one lol
