I've been mostly catching up on what I did yesterday but definitely in a better place now levelwise and got more of the map uncovered.

 

Going to play all damn day today. Bout to finish the first main dungeon

 

I have 14 hours on steam logged already

 

Sometimes I won’t be able to use summons for stretches at a time and I don’t understand what’s causing it

 

Got me some wawa. Time to JFG all day

 

I’m not sure what dictates an area you can summon or not, but if you see that little tombstone icon on the left of your screen it means you can summon in that area

 

I’ve been trying to help people with Godrick and my head hurts. People will wait around to summon someone and then charge the boss and insta die.

 

I got another hour or so in today before I got called back to work. Up to four hours again on my new playthrough and way further than I was on my first, mostly because I already knew where stuff was and had my skills dusted off. Think I've mostly cleared the map below Margit. Having so much fun with it.

 

You have to be around a boss or area boss. there’s a blue gate icon on the left of the HUD that indicates that summons are available. Also you only get 1 per rest. Hope that makes sense.

 

The summons are so fun. Love my wolves.

 

Man this game is great. Now I’m getting the enemies/area down it’s much more dynamic

I have no idea how to use them lol

 

I have that jelly fish summon the one girl in the shack gives you but I’m assuming I need another item to use it

 

You use it like an item, I set it to my right on my quick menu so when I show up at a boss or difficult area, I just hold triangle and press right to summon them. Have you got the summoning bell yet?

 

Stealth backstabs will never get old

just bind them to one of your consumable slots and jelly fish away. just make sure you're in a "blue gate on HUD" area

edit: oh yeah, get the summoning bell by resting at the Church of Ellah bonfire once.

 

I haven’t encountered a boss where I could use my summons yet? It seemed to me that they were only useable in open areas that have a ton of enemies. Cleaning out forts and stuff

 

were you doing coop at the time? can't summon during coop.

 

The first boss you could have up to 4 “people” helping you. There is a summon sign on the right side of the fog gate and then let your wolves loose the second you get in.

 

Just helped a nice mage with Godrick by abusing bleeds. Should take a bit more swings with a weapon to pop a bleed on a boss imo

 

My area must be bogged down because I keep getting a Network status error. I’m not mad because I normally play in offline mode and it looks like it is a common thing.

 

they need to let us use our horse in coop!
