Be careful. I listened to this at the gym and found myself zoning out to the music and stumbling on the treadmill time and time again since I was too focused on the music.

 

Fall running has never been this good.

 

Man, I've never really got into this band, but I loved this. Strong Copeland and As Tall As Lions vibes.

 

Both great great vibes.

 

I miss As Tall As Lions :(

 

Oh yeah, and his voice reminds me at times of the guy from Polyenso. Really can't argue with an album that reminds me of those three bands.

 

yeah definitely picking up atal and polyenso vibes here too. both amazing bands.

 

I feel like FIL fans would like Snowmine.

 

Snowmine is/was(?) a cool band

 

Dialects by Snowmine is such a good album

 

was weird when they went full jangly indie rock after being not quite that sound on the record beforehand

 

great album but my favourite is still absent sounds

 

they're still around.

anyways i keep forgetting that fil is a solo project. talented dude.

 

This is still getting better with each listen and it was darn good the first time around. I'm finding that some of my least favorites on my first listen are becoming my favorites now ("Happy Machines" and "Nome" specifically).

 

so bummed they dropped happy machines out of the setlist on my date, one of my favorites on the album

 

yes I thought the same thing!

 

i still can't complain because my encore so was good though haha

 

"blank tapes" has been stuck in my head for a week straight.

 

that is the best song on here

 

This is their best album. Goddamn. This thing's beautiful

 

This thing is growing on me like fucking crazy. Super awesome that p4k gave this a 7 today. Didn't even think they'd review it.

I def don't know if I agree with how lovelorn he's making it out to be, but I'm super happy a publication of that caliber put out something about the record regardless of score/review.

 

also, keith from ETID likes it.

 

Yeah, I'm all for p4k covering this! The two best albums Ian's reviewed over the past month or so got his two lowest scores though, so that's a bummer
