I hate that every single media company is going to have their own streaming service. People don't want 12 different streaming platforms and are only going to pay for a couple.

yeah it's somehow simultaneously a great idea and an incredibly stupid one

 

It'll be the same thing as cable except everything will be on demand. Pay for dozens of different "channels" and ads will make their way in. That's already happening.

 

Heh. I was talking about how this was the inevitable outcome of de-bundling like ten years ago.

(I also got the entire series on iTunes a long time ago for less than $75 for the whole thing, so I don't care where it goes. That was such a good deal.)

TBS should just change their name to The Friends Network

 

It is very comforting knowing I can always find Frasier or friends on TV at any given time. but I remember when friends wasn't on Netflix like objectively I remember that being a thing, but I also feel like I can't remember a time before friends was on Netflix. It was a darker time. A worse time.

 

I still have 3 Friends VHS tapes within arms reach on the shelf right now. Before you ask, yes, I am the coolest person I know.

 

I have Ursula's porno tape on VHS

 

I have Joey's

 

I have almost all of the seasons on DVD, and I still had a mini panic when I thought it was leaving Netflix because that's how I watch it every night.

 

You know that's bad for the paper tray.

 

Has anyone ever seen an episode of Joey? I literally forgot it existed until right now for some reason
