Yeah I’m really liking this. Big step up from the last album

 

This might just be my favourite album of 2019. I haven't connected with a record as strongly as this in fucking years. That little 'Smokes, Let's Go' recap/coda at the close of the album gives me chills every time. Goddamn I love this so much. FUCK.

 

Perfect Driftwood is the best 00s TBS song I’ve heard in forever

 

Good call, It really could fit on the first two TBS albums. On top of that, I think Cerulean City sounds a lot like Microwave. I love the lyrics in that one.

 

Seeing them tonight and I am really excited to hear all these new songs live.

 

Not really into this album. Still a big fan of the earlier stuff - I think I prefer the drastic contrast between soft/melancholy parts vs. the frantic/loud parts on Those Days Are Gone to the generally chaotic nature of this LP.

I also like that the vocal melodies in TDAG seem to drive the music vs. in WPIP the music tends to drive the vocals

 

This albums very good! Anyone else's vinyl have a decent amount of service noise on it though?

 

Mine came in like 7 different pieces, so yes, a bit of "surface noise".
