I mean I'm seeing these guys next week supporting TWY and I was just thinking today 'wouldn't it be nice if we got a new record from Free Throw this year?'

this song is absolutely phenomenal omg

 

Never got into these guys in the past - but that song got me pumped. Going to go back and listen to their catalog.

 

Bare in mind was great

 

they played Today Is Especially Delicious at Fest and it was a RIPPER (about drinking who could have guessed lol)

 

This album is a HUGE step up from the last one (which I enjoyed)

 

Bear Your Mind was too raw for me on an emotional level to listen to that often when it came out (during one of my worst ever depressive periods) but I love it now regardless and can listen without that sort of baggage attached. It's a really fucking good record.

 

just bumpin to say these guys absolutely killed it supporting TWY in Madrid last week, got a Bear Your Mind green LP that got a bit battered during all the travelling I did this week. Sleeve is kinda beat up but still standing, which when you think about the sort of shit that album's about is pretty fitting. I need another new song already.

 

the final 3 or 4 songs on the new album are so life-affirming and positive but in a real world life can be shit type of way

it's all very realistic as the band journeys throughout the album trying to find that optimism about life.

 

did you see Jamie Coletta mentioned this record in the same breath as The Greatest Generation when it was announced? Like, way to send my hype through the roof
