Thank you very much! I ordered one as soon as I read this and was able to snag one. Very excited. Thank you again for the heads up.

Update on instagram today is that due to logistics and delays, the album is pushed back a week. Now releasing 2/18/22. Thread title updated.

Great month! It’s nice to see some punk rooted releases and al all around a similar timeframe.

plus Gang of Youths and Dashboard Confessional in February creates for some variety.

For those of us keeping score at home, the release date is back to the 11th.

February 11th is actually my son’s birthday, so I took the day off work. I was looking forward to having some time to listen to this and was a little bummed when it got moved. Also, I was really excited for this album to be on his birthday, because my wife found out she was pregnant with him the morning after a Frank show several years back. Feels very full circle for us.

I’m 50/50 on the singles so far, Haven’t Been Doing So Well and A Wave Across The Bay are really great but I’m not really into Non Serviam or Miranda

Also, he said he’s releasing The Resurrectionists as the final pre-release track on Friday. Apparently it has a special guest vocalist.

I feel the same way. I think some of these songs will take some more listens to give an accurate assessment. Also, sometimes songs work better on a whole album than as singles releases.

Yeah I’m in the same spot, which nothing against the song, but I’m not going to find myself returning to A Wave Across the Bay for obvious reasons.

I like all of the songs that have been released so far just fine, but every one of them has at least one line that makes me cringe for varying reasons.

I wonder if he gets feedback from his family, friends or band mates on that sort of thing

I like The Resurrectionists. I remember hearing this song somewhere along the way because I remember the call back to Prufrock (I think he played it, or a version of it, when he did his birthday live stream towards the end 2020 but I’m not positive).

I’ve heard live versions of 4 of the other unreleased tracks, so I think I’m going to enjoy this album as a whole. It’s not going to be his best, but I feel pretty confident in saying that I will like it better than the last two and enjoy it well enough on its own merit beyond the comparison.

yeah, this song is awesome. extreme hold steady vibes and just grinned dumb when he threw in the prufrock callbacks.

cannot wait to get this whole thing next week. feels nice to look forward to this.

The "is it wednesday" line is pretty cringe but the screams in the bridge/outro are awesome. no idea who the guest vocalist is but they killed it

The guest vocalist is Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro. His email also says it’s featuring “the cast of Prufrock” so I’m not sure if he’s got them doing the background vocals or if I’m reading that way too literally and it’s just a reference to the lyrics.

it's not great, and a lot is pretty bad, but No Man's Land is easily the low point of his career
