i really do not envy writers trying to unpack this album after four days

 

Blonde is queer in the word's truest sense: nonconforming, elusive, boundless.

That's uh a weird thing to say.

 

Craig Jenkins is a good writer though, he got this.

 

Music writing is kinda doomed. You used to at least have an advance to try and analyze. Now you have to bang it out FAST or be left out of the conversation.

I know this is probably a rhetorical question, but the only way I could think we would empathize with him is to interpret it as a plea for privacy in a digital age where that's becoming more and more impossible. I think that's an obvious issue on Frank's mind.

Not necessarily. Usually anything longer than a couple is excessively binding and how we end up not getting a JoJo album for 12 years (she signed for seven LPs)

 

If the news about UMG saying they aren't doing exclusive streams anymore is true this album may have ended streaming wars lmao

 

The way Frank plays with his interpolations of other songs is one of the strongest things on this record. It's like film fans who talk in movie quotes and references. He uses The Carpenters and Elliot Smith and The Beatles as vocabulary for his own story and it's great.

 

Frank is going to make $$$$

 

Because I have at least some dignity mate.

 

It's possible they're still distributing the album.
