I need to try more Thai. I always get pad thai, which is nothing like Indian food. I wonder how the curries compare.

If you've never had Brunswick stew you need to. Most recipes call for chicken and pork but my gma added pig intestines and squirrel. She didn't tell me that part until I was in college bc she didn't think we'd eat it lol I've had a ton of bstew and hers wins every time.

I had Indian food once and it was a bit out there for me. I don't remember what I had tho. It was a to go buffet and I just took whatever didn't have meat lol. I remember there being a desert I liked but I didn't care for the rest.

One of the discoveries you make as you become an adult is that buffets are terrible. It's very exciting as a kid to get to pick your own food dish by dish and try a little bit of everything, but the food is never actually food

yeah I had a stark realization when it became known that my favorite Chinese buffet was involved in human trafficking and was using slave labor in it's kitchens.

This Indian food buffet wasn't bad in that regard cause it's pretty small and a local family makes everything but bigger buffets yeah they're not my fave. I can never eat enough food to make them worth it anyway but as a kid I always wanted to go

ugh, I can't stand buffets. I think the only exception I make is for Vegas buffets.

I smoked some ribs, made foil packet potatoes and fried squash. It was fantastic.

Nothing sounds good rn and I have so many dishes to wash! Thinking about tortellini, salad, and fruit. Bought so much fruit today and it made me happy

I guess I'm doing frozen eggplant parmesan again (it won't be frozen when I eat it)

I made a tortellini pasta salad the other day that was really good. Cook the tortellini then cool them in an ice bath. Put them in a big bowl and add red onion, black olives, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and caeser dressing and mix it all together.

I got Culver's. Maybe I'm just hungry but it's really good. I got cheese curds instead of fries and they're great so thanks to whoever mentioned those earlier in the thread.

I need to try Culver's. Closest one is 20 minutes away, and it's not in a place I normally travel, but I may make the trip after these glowing reviews.

@ChiliTacos Do Culver's cheese curds come close to resembling "real Wisconsin curds"? Or are they a cheap fast food knockoff?

Well I think of real Wisconsin cheese curds as being cold and squeaky, not fried. They are real cheese curds though and they're good!
