I remember once as a kid my grandmother was cooking and had a carton of buttermilk sitting on the counter. I assumed it was just milk and took a swig. Bad decision.

 

My grandad wouldn't drink reg milk just buttermilk. Gross.

 

Do people not like Cashews? They're my favorite but no one I know will eat them?

 

I've always just thought of cashews as an oddly shaped, soft peanut.

 

I'm a fan of cashews, but prefer salted peanuts.

 

I've been on a mission lately to find some of the best places in the US for some of my favorite foods, and then making a list of places to check out at some point. @Jason Tate Have you been to Shandong in Portland?

 

Wanting to find the best burger in the US, and the best Chinese food, haha among other things..

 

Making a vegetarian spaghetti bolognese tonight and just made a banana, apple, celery, spinach, cucumber, cherry, oat milk and cinnamon smoothie and it was amazing.

 

I can't handle smoothies. I wish I could bc they look so flippin' good.

I don't really know. I don't like the texture and I'm not a fan of fruit too much anyway. I really think if they weren't so thick I might be able to enjoy them.

 

I need to get a new blender and start doing smoothies again. Although that is a lot of sugar.

 

I'm allergic to bananas, so whenever I make smoothies they always end up more of a juice than a smoothie.

 

This Kung pao chicken that I ordered doesn't have any chicken. It's just stir fry. Wtf.

 

One time I got a Boston cream donut that didn't have any cream

 

I know that people make mistakes, but shit. How do you forget it when it's in the name?
The chicken was the only part of it I wanted. I ate the cashews and tossed the rest.

 

I would have called the store immediately?

 

I haven't been able to eat anything like that since Van Wilder.

 

Never seen it. Now I definitely never will.

 

I live almost 20 minutes away so there's no really way to remedy the situation without having to drive back out there. It's more convenient to just take the loss.

 

They'll usually give you credit for next time if you tell them you're not coming back that night

That's another thing - I never do that when it comes to food. I don't trust restaurants when it comes to complaints haha, especially if it's one that I go to frequently. It's usually small stuff anyways, like a burger that I wanted plain or something like that. Very seldom do I get something totally screwed like today.

 

You shouldn't trust them. I worked in the food industry for like 7 years...I've seen some shit..

 

I'm polite about it so I don't really sweat it.
