I did the same, not sure if I roasted them wrong but the texture was weird and really soft. Tasted pretty good though

 

All 3 of us had high expectations and the seeds blew.

 

Had Skyline Chili for the first time last night and I had a chili deluxe burrito, was not impressed. Did not live up to the hype at all.

 

Just to circle back to this. I had them this morning, and they were amazing! Definitely going to be a new breakfast staple.

 

Do you cook the oats first?

 

Nope! The liquid softens them overnight. In fact, you don't want to use the quick oats for this because they'll get too soggy. I used regular quaker whole grain oats and they turned out great.

 

Skyline Chili is an abomination to mankind

It's chili that's not really chili at all and has no real flavor whatsoever that's popular in Cincinnati

 

'Nilla wafers are so good. A coworker and I have almost polished off a whole box in less than an hour.

 

I think it's when you eat chili on a plane.

 

Even though I'm from Texas, I appreciate their take on vegetarian chili, and their hot sauce is awesome.

 

It's a regional chain that's primarily in Ohio but they have a few here in Florida that specializes in "Cincinnati Style Chili", which is essentially chili with cinnamon in it topped over spaghetti and shit ton of cheddar cheese, and sometimes with onions and beans. People from Cincinnati rave about it.



I had the Chili deluxe burrito though, which is chili wrapped in a tortilla and covered with more chili on top.

Think I remember seeing this on an episode of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and was fairly intrigued.

Is it really sweet?

 

A bit, it mainly tasted like it came from a can though, which it probably did.

 

the spaghetti with chili on top reminds me of the spaghetti they had in school cafeterias

 

This looks really not good.

 

Currently at Taco Mac trying their wings for the first time. I will report back.

I have only ever been there to drink and watch sports but that's disappointing.
