I like tomatoes in grilled cheese but I also hate American cheese so my opinion doesn't count

But the official title is "Grilled Cheese Sandwich"

 

I hate American cheese. I used sharp cheddar and provolone. It was delightful.

It's hard to keep up with 'likes' in this thread so my bad if I missed anyone.

 

My only issue using other cheese that isn't American is the cheese doesn't get very melty

 

This is the correct way to grill cheese.

 

But official titles can still be wrong!

Don't remember if you have kids or not, but if you bring a kid into that situation all hell would break loose and honestly I don't know if that's a healthy environment for one to be in.

No kids here. I wouldn't feel right bringing a kid into a world with grilled cheese tomato sandwiches.

 

I have no problem calling it a sandwich. It's a special sandwich that lacks meat and generally everything else that sandwiches usually have.

To me a sandwich has meat and cheese, a grilled cheese has no meat(and if you add meat it's not grilled cheese then it's just a melt). It's more like cheese bread(albeit delicious!)

A tomato sandwich is an abomination and should be treated as such.

 

Anyone see Rob Dyrdek take his grilled cheese to a competition? Dude sprayed a bunch of bullshit on it and acted shocked when he didn't place.
