Why does T-Shirt have to be so short? It's 'Seneca' all over again.

 

'Dirty Water' is amazing as expected. However, that synth was so unnecessary in the heavy section.

 

It's a nice reprieve from what he does vocally on every other record, especially the screaming.

 

'T-Shirt' has a section in its outro that is straight off 'Sing the Sorrow.'

 

La Dee Da is fucking lit. That's my contribution so far.

 

Wow, the mid-section of this album honestly keeps getting better and better. I'm really impressed so far.

 

I'm pretty sure Timberlake is doing La Las at the end of "Make It Right."

 

Just finishing my first listen and I'm honestly EXTREMELY impressed so far. I think the Stereogum review nailed it, this still sounds like a Foo Fighters album, but also shows that they have a lot of new tricks up their sleeve, and overall they sound re-energized. I virtually never go back to anything from Sonic Highways, but this has a number of tracks that I already think will end up in my favorite FF tracks period.

That was fan-fucking-tastic. Hands down to these guys. They more than delivered. . I need to grab a beer with Dave and shoot the shit with him.

 

I am really excited to get my filthy little paws on this

 

Not a big fan of this on first listen. Some cool musical things going on, but Dave's vocal melodies felt lacking to me. Definitely wouldn't call it the late career peak it's being heralded as, but maybe it'll grow on me.

 

Yeah, didn't do much for me either, but I'll give it more time to sit with me.

 

By far their weirdest and most interesting album. I can agree with some of the vocal melodies though.

 

Yeah I think they nailed it. They incorporate a bunch of surprising sonic elements and make them pretty much all work imo, and the songs themselves are stronger because of it.

 

"Make it Right" is a groovy jam. Would make for a super fun live song.
