Am I alone in thinking that this is far and away the least accessible/catchy of their albums ?

 

Not at all. I think this be pretty polarizing. a la 22, a million

 

By far the least catchy, least accessible album of theirs. Not coincidentally, the most experimental and most challenging as well. These are all good things.

 

It's their most dense and challenging for sure

 

Yeah, it's not as catchy and I probably won't play it as often, but it's a really cool full album experience.

 

The opener and I Should See Memphis are my early favorites. In love with the Songs Of Love and Hate vibes going on.

 

AOTY

 

It gets catchier the more you listen to it. It's pretty much perfect as I expected it to be.

 

"If you need to" might be song of the year for me right now.

 

This is becoming of my favorites of the year, potentially AOTY stuff for me.

I've never listened to a Fleet Foxes album. It sounds like this one might not be a good starting point, which one should I go with?

 

They only have two other albums just listen to both in order

 

Definitely listen in order.

I honestly can't imagine anybody listening to any of their albums and disliking them

 

Loved this so much on my first listen. Like robin said, listen to it loud.
