Lahoz has such a wildly different style of refereeing to anyone else. I think he’s a little too excitable for a game like this. It’s been a bit nippy but not yet over the top. I don’t see Lahoz calming it down, rather the opposite and I definitely see a red card coming.


On that, how many reds have there been this tournament? I can only remember Aboubakar

That initial clip is great; you see everything. The way he turns De Jong. Ake's playing LCB but as soon as he realises Messi's done De Jong he opts, with good reason, not to recover his position with Molina but engage Messi. Then the little fake from Messi to trick Ake that he's going inside, which buys him a couple of yards, and by the time Ake gets back at him the through ball played on a sixpence into the space that Ake had originally vacated.
