I mean there wasn’t a lot of guitar on the new songs

I feel like news is due soon. I've been spinning this record a bunch the last few days and want moreeeee.

 

they said they were targeting feb 2020 for the next record

 

I mean they are at least more than 75-80% done with LP 2...they play new shit and them recording every day. She mentioned that she thinks early next year, but because they are doing there own thing maybe release it sooner.

 

ohh thanks for the update. I guess I should follow them on social media or something.

 

I'm very curious what it's gonna sound like without their guitarist's input this time around.

 

I’m concerned.

However some of the stuff has sounded really groovy...lots more electronics I would assume. She said Harry has been obsessed with acoustics lately, though so who knows.

From the looks of their social media, and tour poster and everything.... I think "Amateurs" looks to be the kickoff to the "new era" of the band, as the kids say

Wonder what they're going to do for the guitarist, if they'll get a new one or use a touring one for the time being (unless the bassist will switch to guitar)

 

i think i recall them saying a while back that new album was pegged for Feb, but that could always change

Hoping the loss of guitar doesn’t change the sound too much. I love them but I’m mildly concerned. A lot of the studio clips sounded...not my cup of tea? Def think the goal is early 2020. They run their own shown completely so they can do what they want. They are workaholics for sure. Excited for midnight.

 

I know this probably isn't popular opinion, but I would love for them to go nuts and make a HUGE shift in their sound. I like the band, but the majority of what they put out has occupied a very small sliver of sounds, it would be nice to hear them surprise me
