I hide them at a specific screen resolution, which landscape on a phone with that screen resolution (1080 x 1920) should by no means reach. I'd bet it's because for some reason it puts that menu on the right and not the bottom it's cutting it to under 610px wide and causing the issue. But I'm not gonna raise that breakpoint. If there's a setting to put the black bar menu where it should be, it probably will work.

 

Currently, this page will show any birthdays for the day from members on the side bar if they exist for the day. I'll think about writing something to pull in just those from those you follow in the future, or a calendar of birthdays or something. That will take some extra work.

 

Could we get a "back to top" button on mobile when you're at the bottom of a page?

 

If you're on iOS (and maybe Android, not sure), just tap the clock/address bar at the top of the screen.

I don't have this option either. The area where the arrow is pointing is blank on my phone. Using Safari on a 5S.

 

I know it's in there on landscape and you've probably played with this already, but a "follow thread" button would be great near the title when viewing a thread on mobile. I've noticed a huge uptick in "sub", "subbin", and just random pointless posts in threads over the past few days as more traffic trickles in from AP.

I know it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks so maybe an alert pops up anytime "sub" is the first word in a post: "If you would like to receive notifications on new posts in this thread, click here. If you are wanting to discuss delicious oblong sandwiches or underwater vessels, please continue."

 

The top right button (arrow square) on mobile should have a follow thread button in there as well. I'll probably add it outside of that as well for the same reason you mentioned. Haha.

Yeah, that was on purpose because of the size of the 5S screen. I may reevaluate in the future, but I had to make the cut-off somewhere, and at the moment that was where I did. Then Apple had to go and make the SE powerful enough to do what I wanted. Haha.

 

I can't for the life of me find out where to change it from the light theme to the dark theme.

That specific menu itself isn't on mobile. Is it the "mark as read" you wanted on mobile? It's on my list to add soon.

By default clicking on any thread will take you to the first unread post in it.

 

Yeah, I was looking for the mark as read. For some reason clicking my followed threads is always taking me to the start of the thread.

By the way, the site looks amazing. I'm completely ignoring my work to look at everything.

 

What thread is it doing that on? Only reason it'd do that is if you'd been to the last page of the thread already. Otherwise you can use the ... icon on the far right to go to the last page.

Can we get MLS crests to go with the premier league ones? The soccer/football thread does a lot of MLS discussion as well.

are we gonna get a Tour Forum? I really liked that forum. That one dude updating on festivals was kinda awesome, and it's definitely the place i went to for reminders on tours, and so forth. And of course, I liked hearing reviews/setlists/pics etc.
